Frostations is a home bakery in Pefferlaw, in the Town of Georgina, Ontario. This page explains what we collect when you use this website, and what we do with it.
The order builder and the contact form ask for your name, email address, and optionally a phone number, the date you need your order, and details of what you would like. We use this to prepare a quote and to reply to you. The message is delivered to us by email through Resend, our email provider, and a copy is stored in this site's admin area so we can follow up.
We do not sell or rent this information, and we do not use it to send you marketing unless you ask us to. The one thing we share is described under Advertising below: a scrambled form of your email address and phone number, so we can tell whether our ads are working.
We use website analytics to understand which pages people visit and where they have trouble, so we can improve the site. These tools set cookies in your browser and record general information such as the pages you viewed, roughly where in the world you are, and what kind of device you used.
Where we use tools that record how visitors move around a page, form fields are deliberately masked. What you type into the order or contact forms is not captured.
You can block or delete these cookies at any time in your browser settings. The site works normally without them.
We advertise on Google, and on Facebook and Instagram (Meta). This site uses their measurement tags, which set cookies so we can see when someone who clicked one of our ads goes on to send a request or tap to call us, and so our ads can be shown to people who have visited this site before.
When you send a request, your email address and phone number are turned into a one-way code (a “hash”) on your own device, before anything leaves it. Only that code is shared with Google and Meta, which use it to match your request to an ad click on their own platforms. They also learn that a request was sent and what kind of item it was for, such as a cake. They do not receive your name or your message.
You can turn off personalised ads from Google in My Ad Center, from Meta in your ad preferences, and from many advertisers at once through YourAdChoices.ca. Blocking cookies in your browser stops it too, and the site works normally without them.
Our gallery shows photos of our own creations, some of them pulled automatically from our public Instagram account. We do not post photos of customers.
You can ask us what information we have about you, or ask us to delete it, and we will. Just get in touch through our contact page and let us know.
